AKC CONFORMATION SHOWS
A conformation show, also referred to as a breed show, is a kind of dog show in which a judge, familiar with a specific dog breed, evaluates individual purebred dogs. While a dog show may look like a beauty pageant, it's not. Dogs are not being compared to each other; they're being measured by how closely they conform to the standard of their particular breed.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A GREAT ROTTWEILER
The Rottweiler Breed Standard describes the desired physical appearance and other desired qualities of the Rottweiler which is referred to as "Type". The Standard describes this ideal “type” for the Rottweiler and although no dog is perfect, the standard provides this ideal for the breeder to strive towards.
